An empty hydrant is a fire fighter’s worst nightmare.
A not fully functional fire-hydrant with its threat of loss represents a risk, which must be absolutely avoided; particularly since security in this case is to be won simply.

MTA’s Hydrant Inspection Project HYP has been awarded with the “Innovation and Research Award of Carinthia” 2007 and was nominated the Austrian State Prize 2007 in the “Innovation” category.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

To ensure safety the legislator prescribes regular hydrant inspections. Based on the MTA protocol the yearly inspection and  sufficient amount of water is documented and proved.

DOCUMENTATION

After the inspection of each hydrant, the data are analysed and a test report is created. Based on these protocols you can find all required values of each hydrant in a case of emergency. Data export to existing digital pipeline maps is a further feature available.

The HYP administration software is the ideal tool for the organisation, management and maintenance of fire hydrants as well as for the effective development of fire fighting plans.
